Amigos. I want to again wish everyone a merry Christmas and for those that are curious to know where God, aka The Almighty, spends his idle moments I attached today’s essay on the DRC. I didn’t think they would publish it thinking that more than one would consider it irreverent, or at least inappropriate, especially during Christmas, but I guess it passed through all the fiery hoops without a scratch—they didn’t even change the title. Which is surprising considering that tolerance as a virtue is in such short supply these days. On the other hand, intolerance seems to have made a comeback and it makes me wonder why. And not only political or religious intolerance, always the prime ones, but intolerance of all shapes and stripes, including in the support of tolerance, of all things: something akin to being proud of one’s humility. Anyway, food for thought.
