Guest essay. Erratic’s the word. Denton Record chronicle, 9-23-19

Every now and then you learn something that stays with you. Finding a glacial erratic for the first time was that way for me and I never forgot it. The setting, the loneliness of the place, the noise made by the wind, the nothingness all around it, the mountains in the background. The funny thing was that since it was so far off the road, I thought nobody knew about it, when the exact opposite was true. Goes to show . . .
