Amigos. A few weeks ago I had another encounter with a highly illiterate person just fixing to graduate from Guyer High School. At the time, all I could think about was that in front of me was another human amoeba, and one not even Rolando could have loved: one with no supporting brain tissue to speak of, or an idea to call his own. This one, however, had a bigger diameter than a regular amoeba and obviously enjoyed permanent organelles, as he was a father of two—that being the only difference. Unfortunately his kind, like most naked amoeboid protozoans, have wide distribution in our terrestrial environment. That said, it doesn’t have to be our doing!
If I was emperor, I would change the name of the school out of respect for Mr. Guyer, then I would charge all of the Denton School Board members with criminal negligence, or put them in an institution for being delusional, or in deep denial. Here is a group of self-serving fat cats that have no clue of the lives they are ruining or the damage they are doing. All they can talk about is how nice the schools are, while patting themselves on the back, as if the size of the building or the fabulous design had any bearing on getting an education: idiots every last one. And yes, I’m pissed. Somebody has to be.
Attached is my essay today in the Denton Record Chronicle. Actually, I was surprised they printed it, what with a quote from the infamous Mark Twain, a person who repeatedly used the “N” word without apologizing—I really thought it would go in the trash.
Perhaps they didn’t read it, although I think they added the “M” at the end of whom. I still have trouble with those sinful whoms. At least it wasn’t the much maligned “N”.

P.S. If there is someone I didn’t offend, I apologize.
