I’ve been reading about wolves and here are two recommendations. So, the first book to read, and a lot of fun I might add, is Never Cry Wolf, by Farley Mowat, a Canadian biologist and one hell of a writer. Then there’s the encyclopedia (s) and a whole treasure trove of books on wolves at the Denton Public Library from A to Z. Obviously, I didn’t read them all, but The Dog Master by Bruce Cameron was informative and fun. Then, one thing leads to the other and gets me to thinking, therefore this essay for the Denton Paper. I should have mentioned there what books to read, but there’s never enough room. So, for those that are interested, these are the two books to get you started. I might mention that Mowat’s is more recent and sticks to the facts as he saw them. Cameron’s is more speculative, although a good story from the Stone Age. But then, what isn’t speculative when it comes to the Stone Age?
